Our original plan was to possibly have a relationship between her and Gannicus (Dustin Clare) next season, but we thought that might be too seedy. He was with Oenamaus’ (Peter Mensah) wife already. All the way up until we wrote the finale, she was going to live, and as we were discussing what was coming next season, we veered towards killing her at the beginning of the episode.”

Don’t really get why she had to be in a relationship at all. Usually Spartacus is very inclusive of all kinds of people, but with Mira I got the feeling it was ‘she’s not Spartacus gf anymore, so no use for her.” I was looking forward to her progression as an independent entity.
